SCOPE
The mission of this document is to provide end users with a manual for effective use of the Operations Hub and its various components and functions. The Operations Hub site as a whole can be split into two categories of sites: Ops Hub sites that are created and maintained by the Deployment Team (the Home Page, the various Gateways, the Library, Tool inventory, etc.), and the collection of SharePoint sites that comprise the individual Tool and/or Project sites which are created by the Deployment Team, but maintained by the Site Owners.
The audience for the User Guide is all applicable users of the Operations Hub within the Core Map Group.

DEFINITIONS & ACRONYMS
- Ops Hub (OH) = Operations Hub
- Site Owner = Contact identified within the Core Map Group to maintain a site within the Ops Hub.
- Deployment Team = Operations Hub Creators and SharePoint administrators for the Ops Hub.

The following section will outline the various features of the Operations Hub sites. See the next section for details on the SharePoint sites.

Home Page
The Gateways are the heart of the Hub. Simply click the appropriate Gateway to reach your destination. Each Gateway is outlined below.
The Ops Hub links are accessible in the header from all Ops Hub sites. Use these to quickly access other Ops Hub info or pages, like the About section.
The Intranet links are accessible in the header from all Ops Hub sites by hovering on INTRANET LINKS to show or hide them. Use these to quickly access commonly used tools.
The Contact & Help links are accessible in the footer of all Ops Hub sites.
The ubiquitous Ops Hub Icon is placed on all sites as a navigational aid back to the Home Page.
Feedback
Please send in any feedback using the simple form accessed via the Feedback link in the footer.
Users can also provide feedback, or pose questions using the Ops Hub Yammer Group. Use the Yammer icon in the footer of all Ops Hub sites.
Projects and Tools Gateway
From the Projects and Tools Gateway, use the Matrix (may look different than image here) to filter or click on any tile to get to the site.
Users can click on the filters to show only those related tiles.
To request new tools or projects/programs be added, please use the Email link in the footer.
Best Practices & Ideas Gateway
Submit, view, and learn about Best Practices and Innovative Ideas within the Core Map Group.
NEW FEATURE: Users can search by ID, or see all BP's or Ideas associated with a particular category.

Submit a New Best Practice
Upon clicking Submit New you will view the Submission Guidelines. Click OK once these have been read to reach the BP Submission Form.

Analyze the BP Dashboard

Ops Hub Spotlight
The Spotlight will feature site enhancements to the Ops Hub. This Gateway will be updated with new enhancement emails, or new Ops Hub features, on a monthly basis.
Ops Hub Featured Content
The Featured Content Gateway will feature a new initiative within HERE or a new site within the Ops Hub. This Gateway will change over time as we highlight new items.
Support Gateway
The Ops Hub Support Gateway is the newest addition to the site. Users can easily find applicable Map Ops JIRA instances for support needs within the Core Map Group.
Hover on each tile to get details on what type of support is expected for each instance.

Ops Hub Library
The Ops Hub Library is the newest addition to the Operations Hub. It features an easy way to access various types of information available on the Hub. It is divided into Documents, Collections and Pages. Documents include this User Guide and the Owner's Manual; Collections include the Tool Inventory and the SQL Builder Library; and Pages include RSS on the Hub, and the upcoming AQuA Qualification page.
Access the Library via the Ops Hub links in the header.

APPENDIX
Submit a BP
Research first!
Please view the existing Best Practices using the BP List or visiting the most applicable Ops Hub site. For example, if you have a Best Practice about Atlas usage it would be helpful to ensure you are not submitting something already in progress.
View Best Practices on Ops Hub sites
Visit the applicable site, and click on the Best Practices section.
Below is a screenshot showing the Atlas site Best Practices section. Use the listing to view current Best Practices for a project or tool.
Submit a new BP
After clicking on Submit New on the BP Gateway and once you have read the Submission Guidelines, you will be directed to the New BP Submission Form. See below.
Best Practice Title - Keep this as short as possible for clarity.
Description - Provide all necessary details about your Best Practice. Do not use the first person, and do not make it overly technical. Tell us what the situation was prior to this Best Practice and why it was needed.
Category - Select the most appropriate category from the drop-down.
Submitter - Type your surname in the field and click Enter. Or use the address book icon to find your name.
Country of Submission - The country your office is located in.
Improvement Type - Please select most appropriate type.
Metrics - Provide metrics in a before/after method. This many units coded prior to the Best Practice, and now this many are possible after implementation of the BP. For example: 30 POIs/hr before BP, 75 POIs/hr after BP.
Status - Do not change this field. Make sure it stays as 'Submitted'
Date of Submission - This field will auto-populate with the current date.
Origin - Select your organization from the list.
Attach a File
Use the Attach File option to add any documents to your submission.
Save/Submit your Best Practice using the two options shown below
You will be notified by email of your submission. The notification will provide a link to the Best Practice in the listing for quick reference. You will receive another email when the submission status is set to Under Review.
View the BP List
The Best Practices List is a SharePoint list that all users have access to. There are a few tricks to viewing the entries that are outlined below.
- Sort Columns - all column headings in bold are sortable.
- Filter Columns - all column headings in bold are filterable.
- Select the drop-down next to any bold heading (hover over heading to see the drop-down).
- Search - use Search Box if you have specific info.
