The Dixie 200 in June of 2015 was one of my most successful bikepacking races. It seemed that everything I had learned up to the time of this race helped me face the obstacles of this ride. And make no mistake about it, at only 200 miles it is one tough ride. Many trails deteriorated into nothing more than faint game tracks. The Pawnsahgunt plateau - featured so heavily in this ride - had some very difficult route finding on primitive trails. Heat and minimal water sources combined to sap ones strength, and the fallen timber on the Spruces trail...well, watch the video and you'll see.
